--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well... yesterday was bloody eventful.

I woke up in the morning... went to jump in the shower... and I felt a trickle down my leg.. I look down and there was a small trickle of water..

I decided to ignore it.. jumped into the shower and got ready to go shopping. Went to see the newborn puppies at Warragul (Bears pups) and pick which one we wanted (we ended up getting the choc lab) and headed into warragul... had a coffee... (which xave spilt all over me) and went to target.. got a new maternity bra (and some nice new knickers) and got a few things for tea from safeway.

I got home and had a few niggling pains in the tum and was talking to michelle on the phone about how cute the labs were. I mentioned in passing that I had the trickle down my leg that morning and that I had some niggly pains. Michelle suggested I call the hospital and just see what they think.

So I call the hospital, and the midwife suggests I come in... take my time and just get everything checked out 'just to be safe'. So I sat on the net and had a look at some things online when all of a sudden i got this SHARP omg pain that took my breath away...

I sat there for about 10 mins going... omfg.. that fucking hurt.....

then.. another one....

Im like OUUUCCCHHH...

So I yelled out to mike (he wasnt due to start work till 3pm) and he rang my SIL to watch xave so he could take me to the hospital. I grabbed both bags (mine and hers) and toddled off to the hospital..

HAVING CONTRACTIONS..

I got to the hospital all sweaty and ready to kill someone.. I got hooked up to the monitors (which showed I was having regular contractions) and then was told to basically see if things progressed. Anyhoo... Michelle was called in and was sitting with me at the hospital. Michael was being a pain in the ass... my MUM brought xave in (which I specifically asked her not to do) and I was just like omfg... I cant believe she is coming early.

The doctor came in and explained the pediatritions were waiting for the delivery- and that because I was 35 weeks pregnant my baby was classed as 'prem'. I started to panic.

So time went on... more contractions... and the nurses decided to move my rooms.

I was moved into the room I had savannah in... and I just utterly burst into tears. Michelle asked if she wanted me to see if I could change rooms, but the nurses were flat out as it was and I didnt want to make a fuss.

Time went on again, and the contractions started getting further apart, with the occasional big contraction. The nurses came to the conclusion that the baby was fine and that if labour didnt progress by morning, that they would send me home.

I was awake all night.. all I could think about was savannah. I looked at the anne geddes pics on the wall that I focused on during my delivery of savannah and I was just a mess.

Morning came and a lovely nurse came in. She started taking my blood pressure and noticed I had been crying. She asked me what was wrong and I just lost it... I bawled my eyes out telling her that I couldnt have my baby in this room because this was savannahs room... it brought back all the emotions and feelings from when I lost her... and I just couldnt do it. She said I should have told her earlier and they would have moved me, because they didnt know... and if they had've known, they wouldnt have put me in there. I apologised for not saying anything.. I just didnt want to cause a fuss... and be demanding... iykwim.

So Dr simon came around that morning, my pains were more period type pains by the time he examined me. He suggested a scan to see whats going on... and to see what might have been causing the early labour.. and to see how big bubby was.

I had my scan at 3pm... and my beautiful little girl was gorgeous. I seen detailed images of her face and 'fanny'... and it brings tears to my eyes how elated I felt looking at her bouncing around in my tummy.

The U/S tech said that my placenta has torn away from the wall and caused a small bleed which would have caused the contractions to start. Everything is fine thou.... My cervix is softer than before.. and bubby is nice and engaged. Also, dr simon said according to the u/s bubs is measuring 40.3 weeks in leg length and her head is measuring 39weeks. He doesnt think it will be too much longer... but would love 2 more weeks.. but smiled at me and said 'we will be seeing you very soon' as I walked out of the hospital.

Well I had my appointment with Dr simon today.

I had a small bleed this morning when I woke up accompanied by period pain and when I mentioned that to him, along with the fact that bubs is measuring fullterm NOW... Dr simon said if bubby doesnt come before 38 weeks, then I will be getting induced on the 28th of August.

He seems to think the placenta tear (the reason contractions started up last week) is why I am having bleeds at the moment, and wants to keep a close eye on me until the 28th.

So basically, I will have bubby within 2 weeks..

I am starting to get excited.. but nervous about the bleeding ect. As my mum said today- I just have to put my trust in my doctor, knowing he is a good doc and will look after me and bubby

So.. bring on the 28th!
